What Is A Domain?
A domain is simply your web site address (i.e. SmithLaw.com) There is typically a recurring charge of between $8 - $35 per year for domain registration. Think of registering a domain as lining out your property. Nobody else is allowed to build there but you, but it ends there. Simply having a domain does not automatically provide you a web site or email access. A site must be created and uoloaded to the destination server. Email accounts must be configured, etc. Domain registration is typically handled by a registrar such as GoDaddy.com or Network Solutions.
